Notes for each sim
What SimDeckOS reads in Assetto Corsa, ACC, AC EVO, Le Mans Ultimate, iRacing, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2 and RaceRoom, and the one-time steps some of them need.
How SimDeckOS reads a sim
SimDeckOS reads eight sims with its own readers, straight from the game: Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa EVO, Le Mans Ultimate, iRacing, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2 and RaceRoom. In Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and iRacing it also sends commands back into the game, so a key can change something in the sim, not only show it.
Pick the game in SimHub as usual. The Rig health list on the Dashboard shows whether each reader for that game is on.
Assetto Corsa
The basics (speed, gear, RPM, pedals, fuel, laps) work with no setup.
SimDeckOS also installs a small in-game app for Custom Shaders Patch, which adds time of day, weather, the car’s electronics, the tyre window, corner names and per-corner data. Open the SimDeckOS app once in Assetto Corsa; after that it runs on its own. Until you do, Rig health shows the CSP bridge as off.
Assetto Corsa Competizione
No setup. SimDeckOS reads ACC directly while the game is running.
Assetto Corsa EVO
No setup. SimDeckOS reads AC EVO directly while the game is running.
Le Mans Ultimate
SimDeckOS reads the game’s own built-in data feed, which needs version 1.2 or later. Turn on Settings > Gameplay > Enable Plugins in Le Mans Ultimate once. If Rig health shows the LMU reader as off, check that setting first.
iRacing
No setup. SimDeckOS reads iRacing directly while the sim is running.
rFactor 2
Install the rF2SharedMemoryMapPlugin (the file rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin64.dll) in the game’s Bin64\Plugins folder and enable it in UserData\player\CustomPluginVariables.JSON. Without it rFactor 2 shares no data, and Rig health shows the reader as off.
Automobilista 2
In the game, turn on Options > System > Shared Memory and choose Project CARS 2. If Rig health shows the reader as off, check that setting first.
RaceRoom
No setup. SimDeckOS reads RaceRoom directly while the game is running.
The rFactor 2, Automobilista 2 and RaceRoom readers are new. They were built from each game’s published data format; tell us if a value looks wrong.
Other sims SimHub supports
SimDeckOS works in them through SimHub. Most values fall back to SimHub’s own telemetry one at a time, so gear, speed, RPM, lap times, fuel and pedals still show. Values that only the eight readers above provide stay empty. Enable the game’s telemetry output if SimHub asks you to.
